Ukrainian defenders hold the line: over 50 enemy attacks repelled across key sectors

The Armed Forces of Ukraine continue their determined efforts to hold strategic positions on the frontlines, actively countering Russian aggression. In the past 24 hours, Ukrainian troops repelled at least 12 attacks in the Pokrovsk direction and managed to regain control over positions in Sumy region, where the enemy made seven attempts to breach defenses. Overall, more than forty clashes have been recorded, a quarter of which occurred in the Pokrovsk sector, reflecting a high level of tension in this part of the front. In the North-Slobozhansk and Kursk sectors, Ukrainian forces successfully defended against seven of eight enemy attacks, with one ongoing. The enemy intensified air strikes, launching 19 guided bomb drops and several rocket system artillery barrages, including one large-scale missile attack. The fiercest fighting continues in the South-Slobozhansk area, where Ukrainian defenders hold their positions near Vovchansk, Zelene, and Milove, providing a worthy resistance, with two battles still ongoing. An airstrike with guided bombs was recorded near Vilkhuvatka. Near Kupiansk, the enemy attempted six attacks in the areas of Radykivka, Stesova Novoselyvka, and near Novoisynove, with one active combat ongoing. On the Liman front, six attacks aimed at Ukrainian positions in Kopanok, Novy Mir, Seredne, Zelenaya Dolina, Kolyozhі and Mirne were registered; two battles are still ongoing. Ukrainian troops bravely maintain their defenses and inflict losses on the enemy. In the Siversky direction, the enemy attacked positions near Hryhoryvka and Vyimka. Ukrainian forces repelled two assault attempts, but ongoing fighting persists. In the area of Chasiv Yar, the enemy attempted to storm Ukrainian positions but was stopped by defenders. On the Toretsk direction, a single skirmish took place near Leonidivka, which Ukrainian forces successfully resisted. The most tense situation remains on the Pokrovsk direction, where Russian troops made 12 attempts to seize Ukrainian positions near Myrne, Popiv Yar, Koptieve, Lysivka, Novoserhiivka, and Oleksiiivka. Ukrainian defenders repelled eight attacks and halted activity in four cases; fighting continues. The enemy used uncontrolled aircraft missiles against Dry Yar. In the south, active fighting continues in the districts of Piddubne, Vesele, Maliivka, and Shevchenko — five attacks were carried out with one ongoing. Enemy airstrikes were recorded near Olhivske and Filya. Meanwhile, Ukrainian troops succeed in holding the line across all sectors, especially in the Kam'yanske area on the Orikhiv front and around Novodanilivka, where the enemy tries to advance. Other areas remain relatively stable but tense. On July 1, the General Staff reported, for the first time since February, Russian forces’ advances in Sumy region, indicating increased activity in this area.
