The Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) known as «Bober» or UJ-26 continue to demonstrate impressive operational results in occupied territories, particularly in Crimea. Recent reports, supported by the Ukrainian Defense Ministry's Main Intelligence Directorate, reveal that these high-tech drones are capable not only of penetrating enemy defenses but also of destroying strategically important and costly Russian air defense systems. The released footage shows the successful targeting and destruction of multiple enemy military assets, serving as a clear testament to the growing capacity of Ukrainian forces in confronting the aggressor. In the visual recordings, it is evident how the Ukrainian drones entered the occupied zone and precisely targeted crucial Russian military hardware. Among the destroyed assets are a «Pantsir-S1» air defense system with its personnel, the «Niobiy-SV» radar system, the «Pechora-3» coastal radar station, the «Protivnik-GE» radar complex, and a Russian Sukhoi Su-30 fighter jet stationed at the Saki airbase. This isn’t the first instance of Ukrainian drones striking Russian targets in Crimea and Bryansk region. Previously, they damaged fuel depots causing fires at storage facilities of missile fuel, marking the second such attack on these strategic military warehouses. These actions underscore Ukraine’s increasing capability to perform targeted strikes on high-value, technologically advanced targets deep in enemy-occupied territories. These developments point to an escalating deterioration of the Russian military situation in occupied regions and bolster Ukraine’s position in the ongoing conflict. Overall, the Ukrainian «Bober» drones have become a symbol of modern, high-technology warfare capable of neutralizing even the most sophisticated Russian air defense systems that were once considered invulnerable. This progress signifies a significant shift in Ukraine’s tactical and strategic autonomy, contributing to a changing balance of power in the region, strengthening Ukraine’s security, and complicating Russian military operations in occupied Crimea and beyond.
