U.S. Approves Sale of Guidance Systems for Israel’s Bombs Worth Over $510 Million

The United States has officially authorized the sale of sophisticated guidance systems for Israel’s aerial bombs, amounting to over 510 million dollars. This move was approved by the U.S. Department of State, representing a significant step in bolstering Israel’s defense capabilities during a tense regional situation. The deal involves the transfer of nearly 3,850 JDAM guidance kits, which are designed to attach to BLU-109 type bombs, along with approximately 3,280 kits for MK 82 bombs. Official sources state that this arms sale will considerably enhance Israel’s ability to counter current and future threats, especially in protecting strategic infrastructure, borders, and populated areas. While the Department of State has already given its approval, the transaction still requires congressional ratification, following standard procedures for such defense deals.
