Russian Shelling in Zaporizhzhia Region: Power Grid Damaged, Two Energy Workers Injured

The Zaporizhzhia region has once again come under attack by Russian forces, resulting in significant infrastructural damage and injuries among local energy sector workers. According to Ivan Fedorov, the head of Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, Russian troops deliberately target critical infrastructure in the frontline community of Stepnohirsk, utilizing artillery and fpv-drones. During the attack, a local electrical crew was hit, with their vehicle damaged and two staff members suffering injuries, including severe burns. Additionally, a high-voltage power line was destroyed, causing the complete blackout of the community, along with disruptions to mobile communication and internet services. Fedorov emphasizes that the situation remains tense, and calls for urgent efforts to restore infrastructure and ensure the safety of local residents amidst ongoing hostilities.
