Preparing for the 2025 Vocational School Admission Campaign: Essential Facts for Graduates

Chas Pravdy - 01 July 2025 09:19

In Ukraine, the process of enrolling students into vocational education institutions is gaining momentum, which is especially relevant for graduates of 9th and 11th grades aspiring to acquire in-demand professional skills. This year, attention should be paid to the starting dates and application procedures, as the 2025 admission campaign to vocational schools begins on July 1st. Applicants can submit their applications either in person or online via the EDEBO electronic cabinet, and also directly at the chosen institutions. It is important to note that the duration of training varies from six months to three years, depending on the chosen profession and the applicant’s previous educational level. Obtaining a professional qualification is possible without passing the NMT exams — the admission process is simplified. Graduates are required to prepare several documents: an application, original or copy of their certificate (diploma), six 3x4 photographs, a medical certificate, documents confirming any benefits or privileges, and a passport or ID card. Applications can be submitted to multiple vocational institutions simultaneously. In the current context, where competition for qualified skilled workers is vital for the country’s recovery, developing the vocational education system is more critical than ever. It is this system that trains the hands necessary for Ukraine’s industrial revival, infrastructure development, and construction, emphasizes expert Elena Kolesnikova in her article for ZN.UA.
