Ukrainian Footballer Viktor Kovalenko Leaves Italian Club Empoli and Becomes Free Agent

The renowned Ukrainian footballer Viktor Kovalenko has made a significant decision to part ways with the Italian club Empoli, officially announcing his departure through the club's social media channels. The 29-year-old midfielder is now a free agent and free to sign with any team of his choosing to continue his professional career. Kovalenko joined Empoli this February on a contract lasting until the end of the current season. During his stint at the club, he made 8 appearances and scored one goal across all competitions. It is worth noting that Kovalenko was previously affiliated with Empoli, having returned there last summer on loan from Atalanta. Before that, he spent two seasons on loan at Spezia, establishing himself as a key player. A product of Shakhtar Donetsk’s youth academy, Viktor Kovalenko has enjoyed notable success, including winning the Ukrainian championship and earning 33 caps for the national team.
