The situation in the Zaporizhzhia region remains tense and constantly evolving. On June 29, Russian troops made strategic advances in the village of Malynivka, located along the Huliaipole direction in the Pologivskyi district. This information was confirmed by the Ukrainian information resource DeepState, which recently updated its interactive maps depicting the current frontline situation. According to the Ukrainian General Staff’s evening report, as of 10:00 PM on June 29, Ukrainian defenders in this sector were still repelling two attack attempts by Russian forces near Malynivka. The Institute for the Study of War (ISW) in its latest report noted that on June 28 and 29, Russian troops continued their offensive operations in the Malynivka area, east of Huliaipole, but without significant territorial gains. It is also important to mention that Ukrainian and Western analysts previously reported that Russian forces had advanced in the neighboring Orikhiv direction, capturing several settlements on the western part of Zaporizhzhia Oblast. The situation remains complex and unpredictable, causing concern among military personnel and local residents alike, as hostilities continue and require ongoing monitoring and analysis.
