In recent days, the Mykolaiv region has experienced a surge in natural and man-made fires, with more than 50 incidents reported across various districts. The total burned area exceeds 400 hectares, raising serious concerns among local residents and emergency services. The situation is especially critical in the city of Mykolaiv, where as of the evening of June 30, three large-scale fires are actively burning and have already affected residential sectors. According to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, strong gusts of wind are exacerbating the spread of the flames, making firefighting efforts more challenging. In the Terneva district, approximately 10 hectares of land are ablaze, damaging two residential buildings and three outbuildings. Rescue teams have mobilized all available resources, including reserve units and water-delivery equipment, to combat the fires. Local firefighting units and enterprises are collaborating by providing specialized machinery and water trucks to contain the blaze. Due to the rapid spread of the fires and adverse weather conditions, the emergency situation remains highly tense, requiring increased coordination and additional efforts from all involved services.
