Russian Shelling in Stepnogirsk: Woman’s Body Found Beneath Ruins of Apartment Building

On the night of June 28 to 29, Russian forces launched another aggressive attack on the city of Stepnogirsk in Zaporizhzhia region, deliberately targeting residential neighborhoods. Around 6 a.m. on the same day, the occupying troops struck the city with several missiles and artillery, causing destruction to a nine-story apartment building. According to authorities, a woman's body was recovered beneath the rubble; she was 70 years old at the time of the incident. The attack also damaged other structures within the city, with ongoing destruction and emergency response efforts by local services. The Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration reported that the city was attacked using various weapons systems, including KAB complexes, multiple launch rocket systems, artillery, and drones. This night marked yet another brutal assault by Russia, reaffirming its deliberate strategy of causing destruction and human casualties on Ukrainian soil.
