Russian military forces are attacking again – a new front in Donetsk

The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, has reported an increase in enemy activity on a new front in the region. Syrskyi emphasizes the complexity and multifaceted nature of the military situation in Ukraine. Responding to journalists' questions during a working visit to the front lines, he provided a detailed overview of the current situation in the Donetsk regions, particularly in areas such as Novopavlivka, Pokrovsk, Kramatorsk, and Toretsk. According to him, the tension remains high, and Ukrainian defenders are enduring and repelling massive shelling and enemy offensive attempts every day. Oleksandr Syrskyi paid special attention to a new hot spot of hostilities in the Dobropillia sector. According to him, Russian troops are attempting to advance towards Kostiantynivka but are suffering significant losses in the process, including the destruction of dozens of their combat vehicles. For example, last week in the Yablunivka area, Ukrainian forces successfully repelled an enemy attack, destroying over 20 armored vehicles and reducing the enemy's troop numbers. This once again demonstrates the resilience and professionalism of Ukrainian defenders in their fight for the integrity of the front. During his visit, Syrskyi held a series of important meetings with brigade commanders, assault and naval units, as well as representatives of the recently created Army Corps. He emphasized the need to strengthen the grouping, prepare highly motivated personnel, improve organizational structures, and ensure clear coordination of actions on the frontlines. "In the active phase of the war, it is critically important for us to maintain command and control over the troops," he stressed. "Reorganization and modernization of military units must ensure quick and effective response at any moment and reduce the risks of defensive failures." The Commander-in-Chief highlighted that now, during this period of high tension, it is essential to bolster defenses and strengthen resources. Ukraine continues to take measures to increase capacity, including through training reserves and improving command systems. It is crucial that every soldier and unit act assuredly and cohesively, as this is key to success in confronting the enemy. In the face of new attacks and attempted breakthroughs, Ukrainian forces demonstrate resilience and the ability to respond effectively even in the most challenging conditions. Losses of important positions and successful counteroffensives on other sections of the front line show Ukraine's determination to hold the defense and eliminate the enemy where possible. It has also been previously reported that the Ukrainian Armed Forces made progress in the Lyman direction — regaining positions northwest of Rydkodub. This is yet another element of the complex mosaic of the military situation, further confirming Ukraine’s high level of mobilization and readiness for defense and counteroffensive actions across different regions of the country. Thus, the situation remains tense, but Ukraine continues to fight using all available resources and skills to defend its land and independence. On the front lines, defenders hold their positions with all their might, trying to stop the enemy and safeguard every piece of Ukrainian territory.
