Massive Air Attack: Debris Fallen in Ivano-Frankivsk Region, Casualties Reported

On June 29, a large-scale air attack occurred in Prykarpattia, during which fragments of enemy missiles and drones fell on the territory of several communities in the Ivano-Frankivsk district. According to Svetlana Onischuk, head of the regional military administration, private homes and infrastructure objects were damaged and destroyed as a result of the shelling, causing significant stress and tension among local residents. As reported by the Regional Military Administration, in particular, in the village of Vasyuchyn, windows were damaged in residential buildings, and the wooden bell tower of the Church of the Intercession of the Holy Virgin of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church was partially affected. As a result of these damages, the church structures suffered significant damage; however, there have been no reports of threats to the lives of parishioners or destruction of external walls or pillars. Several private residential premises were also damaged in this part of the settlement. Another tragedy occurred in the village of Naraivka, where a woman was injured. She received wounds and was quickly evacuated to a medical facility for necessary assistance. Fortunately, there were no human casualties, but one of the residential buildings was damaged. Local controllers and rescuers worked around the clock to eliminate the consequences of the enemy strikes and ensure the safety of residents. During a press conference, Svetlana Onischuk expressed words of support and wished a speedy recovery to those affected. She also thanked the Armed Forces, sappers, medical personnel, and all rescue services who, during this difficult time, are working to address the consequences of aggression and stabilize the situation in the region. She emphasized the high capacity of local defense forces and civil protection services to respond to any challenges. Earlier, around 1:50 AM on June 29, powerful explosions were heard in the Lviv region — Russian drones successfully reached western Ukraine, once again demonstrating the scale and systematic nature of the enemy's aggression. During this time, Ukrainian air defense forces actively worked to intercept enemy targets, but damages and human losses also occurred. This series of attacks once again highlights the importance of strengthening defensive capabilities and the rapid response of services, as Ukraine continues to fight for sovereignty and security. Local residents and authorities are calling for unity and mutual support during these challenging times of war.
