This alarming event was part of a series of attempts by Russian forces to conduct airstrikes on strategically important regions of Ukraine, highlighting the increasing tension at the border and in the country's rear. Within less than three minutes of reports about the appearance of unmanned aerial vehicles, Ukrainian military efforts were focused on their destruction. At 1:47 a.m., even before the sounds of explosions, the Ukrainian Air Force warned the population about the appearance of reconnaissance drones heading toward Lviv. By this dark early hour, at 1:55 a.m., Maksym Kaczynskyi, the head of the Lviv Regional Military Administration, confirmed that the region's air defense was operational. He urged citizens to remain calm, refrain from publishing photos and videos that could potentially jeopardize air defense operations' security, saying: "We ask to refrain from any publications and sharing images on social media so as not to harm our defenders." This was another episode of Russian drone attacks on Western Ukrainian regions, demonstrating the ongoing attempts by the enemy to destabilize the situation in the country on the morning of June 29. Despite air defense efforts, several "shaheds" managed to reach their targets, causing destruction and heightening tensions in the region. Authorities call on residents to stay alert, remain calm, and follow all safety instructions to ensure security.
