Star midfielder of Donetsk's Shakhtar and the Ukrainian national team, young talent Giorgi Sudaakov, who was widely linked with a possible move to Italian club Napoli, will stay at his current club. Recently, Italian journalist Ciro Venerrato, known for his close sources within the sports world, reported that the transfer of the Ukrainian player to Napoli had been blocked. According to him, plans for the transfers of American Yunus Musah from AC Milan and Ukrainian Sudaakov did not materialize; nothing will change as the main transfer target of Napoli — Andre-Frank Zambo Anguissa — will remain with the team. This news is significant for Shakhtar fans: the 22-year-old player, a club academy graduate, has been a regular starter since 2020 and is considered one of the most promising young Ukrainian footballers. His contract runs until the end of 2028, with a buyout clause set at 150 million euros, reflecting his high value. Previously, there were reports that Shakhtar was considering selling Sudaakov to a Dutch club, but that idea has been shelved, and the talented Ukrainian will continue to represent the Donetsk team for the foreseeable future.
