Another attack on Poltava region: after an airstrike, an industrial enterprise caught fire

On June 29, explosions and a fire again occurred in Poltava region as a result of a massive attack by Russian forces. According to Volodymyr Kogut, head of the regional military administration, the region has been under air raid alert for nearly eight hours due to a prolonged bombardment campaign. Preliminary reports indicate that Russian forces struck one of the local enterprises near Kremenchuk, resulting in a fire that is currently being extinguished by firefighters and rescue services. Official information about casualties is not available at this time, but the consequences of the attack clearly demonstrate destruction and danger for local residents. Kogut emphasizes that the threat remains current and calls on the population to strictly follow safety rules: stay in shelters and do not ignore air raid signals. At 3:26 a.m., it was reported that the air defense system was operational in the Poltava community. Shortly thereafter, at 3:30 a.m., the air raid alert was extended across the entire territory of Ukraine, and Poltava region once again found itself in a zone of danger. This is already the third attack during the day specifically on this region, indicating an escalation of aggression by Russia in a strategically important Ukrainian center — a region where industrial capacities and transportation routes are concentrated. Local authorities and rescue services continue to work on mitigating the consequences of missile or aviation strikes, urging residents to stay calm and remain in shelters until the official alarm is lifted. Rescue teams have deployed additional forces to extinguish the fire and neutralize damages. Local and regional security agencies emphasize that the situation remains tense and alarms continue to sound. Military and security services are working to clarify the extent of the damages and disseminate information to prevent panic among the population. Such nighttime events once again confirm that Ukrainian lands are under constant attack by the aggressor, and each new rocket strike serves as a reminder of the deliberate tactics of destabilization and destruction of strategic objects. Despite this, Ukrainian defenders remain ready for battle, and regional residents stay alert to recover quickly and sustain resilience in emergency situations.
