Airstrike on Cherkasy region: three injured and infrastructure damaged

Chas Pravdy - 29 June 2025 05:10

On June 29, another enemy attack occurred in Cherkasy region, causing negative consequences for the local population and infrastructure. According to preliminary data from the regional military administration, three civilians were wounded during the air raid by Russian forces. Ihor Taburetets, head of the Cherkasy OBS, reported on Telegram that all services are currently operating in enhanced mode, responding quickly to the situation and carrying out necessary work to eliminate the consequences of the attack. According to the official, several civilian infrastructure objects were damaged as a result of the strike — power supply facilities, communication systems, and possibly municipal services. Although all possible measures have been taken to restore the region's functionality, the exact number of destroyed or damaged objects will become clear later after a more detailed investigation. Ihor Taburetets also emphasized that the threat of further attacks still persists. He urges residents of Cherkasy region to remain vigilant and follow safety recommendations and rules. It is important to note that an air raid alarm was declared in the region, lasting seven and a half hours — from 21:28 on June 28 until 05:00 in the morning on June 29. The alarm was cancelled at 5 a.m. today, but the danger remained high. Such missile strikes are, unfortunately, becoming a common phenomenon in the region, bringing not only property destruction but also significant threats to the lives and health of citizens. Local authorities and relevant services continue working to minimize the attack's consequences and ensure residents' safety. Stay alert and remember safety rules in case of air threats — each of us is responsible for our own safety and that of those around us.
