Ukrainian drones launch new attack on Russian Bryansk, hitting occupiers’ arsenal

On the night of Saturday, June 28, several loud explosions were heard in the Russian city of Bryansk, causing panic and surprise among local residents and officials. According to sources in Ukrainian intelligence, it was Ukrainian drones, controlled by the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, that launched strikes on a strategically important facility — the 120th arsenal of the Main Missile and Artillery Directorate of Russia, located in the Bryansk region. This is consistent with previous data on the targets of Ukrainian strikes in this area. Details of the scale of the destruction are still being clarified, but it is already known that this facility is one of the key warehouses for storing weapons and ammunition of the Russian military. Despite the published reports, the local authorities of the Bryansk region have so far refrained from commenting on the incident, which indicates limited information and possible uncertainty in the situation. This is the second large-scale attack by Ukrainian drones on this arsenal. Back in November last year, Ukrainian drones purposefully opened fire on ammunition warehouses of the 1060th logistics center, destroying and damaging a significant amount of strategic reserves. After that, on June 5 of this year, the Ukrainian military, in cooperation with the SBU, conducted a government operation in the Bryansk region, purposefully destroying the positions of the 26th brigade of Russian missile forces. This strike was followed by another success of the Ukrainian forces - three Iskander-M installations were destroyed, as well as at least eight Russian occupiers were eliminated, and five more were wounded. These events are being celebrated as a demonstration of the ability of Ukrainian defenders to operate in the Russian rear, underscoring their level of training and ability to strike down strategic enemy targets. Overall, these attacks indicate an intensification of Ukrainian operations in response to Russian military aggression, and for Russia, such strikes are becoming an increasingly unpredictable and destructive reality that undermines its logistics and defense potential. Ukraine continues to improve its methods of resistance and use modern technologies to protect its territories and fight the occupation.
