US President Donald Trump reacted sharply to information spread in the media, which claimed that Washington is discussing the possibility of investing up to $ 30 billion in Iran's civilian nuclear program. Through his page on the social network Truth Social, he called this news fake and emphasized that he had never heard of such an idea, and all those who spread it are "scoundrels". Trump emphasized that this is "another attempt by the media to reduce his image by using false and unreliable data". He called the blame for spreading this disinformation "sick", emphasizing that such actions are unacceptable and simply part of a propaganda campaign against him. This statement was a reaction to a CNN report that claimed that the United States is allegedly considering investing in the Iranian nuclear program in order to facilitate and intensify negotiations between the parties. The very fact of discussions on this issue has not been officially confirmed, so Trump categorically denied them, accusing them of spreading fake news in the interests of the political opposition. At the same time, during the NATO summit in Brussels, Donald Trump made an unexpected statement: he assured that the United States and Iran plan to resume nuclear talks next week. However, a person in Tehran quickly questioned this information. Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi explained that official Tehran had not received any confirmation of such intentions and strongly urged the United States to stop pursuing a policy of disrespect and a provocative tone in relations with the country's leadership. According to him, in order to return to serious negotiations, the United States needs not only to change its targeted rhetoric, but also to act within the framework of diplomatic norms and show more respect for Iran's leaders, in particular Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. Therefore, in a situation where tensions in the international arena remain high and the information war between major powers is gaining momentum, it is important to be cautious about the news and be careful in accepting statements and spreading rumors. The actions of politicians, especially during the period of tension over Iran's nuclear program, determine the further course of diplomatic processes and affect the situation in the world as a whole.
