Tragedy in Pakistan: Suicide bomber blows up military convoy, there are victims and injuries
A large-scale explosive attack took place in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province in northwestern Pakistan, as a result of which at least 13 soldiers were killed and dozens more were injured. According to official information, a suicide bomber in a car laden with explosives ran over a military convoy, causing a powerful explosion that spread to nearby buildings. This tragic event occurred at about noon, destroying everything around, damaging residential buildings and causing, according to preliminary data, the collapse of roofs in two of them. After the impact, six children were injured by shrapnel and debris. According to local authorities, several residential buildings were destroyed as a result of the attack, and several residents received various injuries. No militant group has yet claimed responsibility for the attack, but the local situation suggests a heavy and protracted conflict in the region. As AFP reports, citing local officials and sources from the Hindustan Times, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa region has long been a hot spot for militants from the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) group, which regularly carries out attacks on soldiers and civilians. "A suicide bomber rammed a car packed with explosives into a military convoy. The explosion killed 13 soldiers, wounded 10 more, and injured 19 civilians," a local official said, adding that the situation in the region remains tense. The next wave of violence has not passed other countries by. Just a few days ago, a powerful terrorist attack on a Christian church in the Syrian capital, Damascus, killed at least 20 people and injured more than 50. This once again confirms that terrorist acts remain one of the main security problems in the Middle East, causing tragedies and destroying the lives of thousands of people.
