The Ukrainian women’s volleyball team advances to the final of the EuroLeague Gold 2025

Ukrainian female volleyball players achieved a historic triumph in the semifinals of a prestigious tournament, defeating their Swedish opponents with a score of 3:0 in three mature and tense sets. This victory was not just another accomplishment but an important step in the development of women’s volleyball in the country and yet another confirmation of the high level of the Ukrainian national team. Yes, our girls, who last year suffered a 0:3 loss to the Swedish champions in the group stage, managed to avenge themselves this time, demonstrating character and fighting spirit. At the penultimate stage of the tournament, the Ukrainians displayed true skill and psychological resilience, winning the remaining three sets 25:19, 25:20, and 25:18 respectively, earning their place in the final battle. The best player on the team was the outside hitter Anna Artishuk, who scored 20 points, making her the leading and most productive star of the match and highlighting her leadership qualities on the court. This is already the third historic appearance of the Ukrainian women in the final of the EuroLeague Gold, and each time our girls bring home prestigious awards — in 2017 and 2023, they already won decisive matches and lifted the trophy during the awards ceremony. Such success once again confirms the high level of training, fighting spirit, and unwavering ambition of the Ukrainian women’s national team. The final match will take place this upcoming Sunday, July 29, in Kyiv. The Ukrainian volleyball players will face the Hungarian team, which also demonstrated a high level of play and fought just as persistently for a spot in the final. The match is scheduled to start at 8:00 PM Kyiv time, and all fans have the opportunity to support their favorites in the most important game of the current tournament. Earlier, as part of Ukraine's sporting achievements, there was news about the success of the men's national team in the Volleyball League Nations, where they defeated Japan in a tough battle. Following this historic triumph, Ukrainian athletes once again proved that their level and potential are fully in line with world standards, and the national teams aim to demonstrate their strength and confirm their status as some of the best in Europe and the world.
