Over the past 24 hours, Russian troops have carried out a large-scale air attack on the Zaporizhia region, using over 300 unmanned aerial vehicles of various types

This was one of the largest number of UAVs used during the third day of May, which indicates an increase in the intensity of enemy strikes in southern Ukraine. According to official information from the head of the Zaporizhia regional military administration, Ivan Fedorov, over the past 24 hours, the Russian occupiers have launched over 312 UAVs, mostly FPV-class, towards the region, which means an intensification of the use of lethal drones and an increase in the number of unmanned attacks. In addition, the enemy was not lazy to use aviation: during this period, 12 air strikes were recorded—that in the Hulyaipil, Orikhiv, Shcherbatsky and Zatyshnensky directions. These attacks caused significant destruction and resulted in injuries among civilians. According to Fedorov, a man and a woman were injured and are currently under medical supervision. At the same time, Ukrainian forces and military units in Zaporizhia are trying to resist this aggression, destroying enemy equipment and defending themselves from drone and ground attacks. The Russians also used heavy artillery, carrying out 121 shelling from multiple rocket launcher systems and 14 rocket strikes from MLRS, trying to cause maximum destruction in the cities and villages of the region. In total, 20 reports from settlements have been reported about the destruction of residential buildings, outbuildings and infrastructure facilities in the past 24 hours. As a result of such attacks, many residential buildings and private households have been damaged and destroyed, which creates a new humanitarian crisis challenge for the local population. Zaporizhzhia region, which has long been under the close attention of Ukrainian military and volunteers, is now facing a new scale of aggression aimed at destabilizing the situation and destroying the peaceful life of residents. Local authorities and security forces are urging citizens to stay in shelters, and the international community is calling for active support for Ukraine in confronting Russian aggression, because only unity and a quick response can stop this wave of destruction and human suffering.
