Yesterday, Ukrainian telegram channels reported a possible combat sortie by Russian aviation near the city of Dnipro. According to sources, a Russian tactical fighter or bomber probably almost reached the outskirts of the Dnipro suburb, which caused alarm and fear among local residents and military specialists. Ukrainian official structures have not yet fully confirmed this information, but they have not categorically denied it either. The Air Force of the Armed Forces noted that the determination of the type and model of the defensive target that was recorded in the sky is currently ongoing. They reported that specialists at the crash site are already examining the wreckage of the object to more accurately determine the type of weapon and its origin. According to them, the situation remains tense, but the Ukrainian military has control over it. According to the press service of the Russian Air Force, at approximately 11:30 a.m., a combat target was recorded flying and dropping from a Russian tactical aircraft from the direction of the temporarily occupied part of the Zaporizhzhia region. The military reported that this target flew more than 100 km towards Ukrainian territory, but it was shot down by air defenses before reaching the densely populated areas of the city of Dnipro. It is alleged that the object was destroyed outside the city, and all details of this operation are currently being studied to clarify the circumstances and the possible extent of the damage. Russian aircraft, apparently, have intensified their series of combat operations in the south and east of Ukraine, in particular in the direction of the Dnipro, which gives reason to worry local residents and contributes to tension in the airspace of the region. Officially, the Ukrainian side calls for maintaining calm and trusting the information context, while at the same time strengthening its defense capabilities and controlling the situation in the sky.
