Two Russian Su-34 fighters were destroyed, two more were damaged during a special operation by Ukrainian forces in the Volgograd region. This was another significant blow to Russian military aviation, which is carrying out aggression against Ukraine. The information was confirmed by the Security Service of Ukraine and the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. According to sources in the SBU and the General Staff, the operation took place at the Marynivka military airfield in the Volgograd region. There, Ukrainian services carried out a targeted artillery and unmanned strike, using long-range drones, which turned out to be very effective within the framework of the special operation. As a result of the barrage of attacks on Russian aircraft, two of them were completely destroyed, two more received significant damage. In addition, during the attack, a large-scale fire broke out in the technical and operational part of the airfield, which plays a key role in the technical support of the enemy's military aviation. Russian aircraft are serviced and repaired there, and they are prepared for flights. This significantly limits the combat capability of the Russian aviation forces, which are conducting missile and bombing strikes on Ukrainian positions and settlements. The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine emphasized that the Su-34s are the main aircraft of Russia's tactical aviation. They are widely used to deliver missile and bombing strikes on Ukrainian territory, and also perform tasks related to the advanced dropping of guided aerial bombs, including those with glide and correction modules (GCMs). In the classification of the Russian Air Force, these aircraft are designated as front-line fighter-bombers, which are of great importance in the Russian Federation's strategic operations against Ukraine. This operation became a vivid example of the increasing effectiveness of Ukrainian forces in combating Russian aviation and destroying key military infrastructure of the occupiers. It is important to emphasize that Ukrainian special services and military personnel continue to actively operate behind the aggressor's back, which significantly complicates his combat operations and increases the risks for his military equipment and personnel.
