Ukraine prepares for massive long-range drone strikes: signing contracts for tens of thousands of drones

Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umerov announced plans to significantly expand the military's capabilities in the field of unmanned technologies, in particular, signing contracts for the supply of tens of thousands of long-range drones to enhance the strike capability against Russian military targets. According to him, such a step is part of a strategic plan to increase the frequency and effectiveness of strikes on the aggressor's deep rear. Details of this initiative were announced during a meeting with journalists, which, unfortunately, was held without the presence of representatives of the Ukrainian media, in particular "Ukrainian Pravda". According to information received by the Interfax-Ukraine agency, the decision to significantly increase the number of operations using long-range drones was made about two weeks ago. Umerov emphasized that this step is a logical continuation of the systemic program for the widespread use of long-range drones - the so-called deepstrike operations - already launched last year. At that time, Kyiv signed contracts for several tens of thousands of long-range drones, which allowed the Ukrainian army to regularly deliver pinpoint strikes on key enemy facilities and logistics centers deep in Russia’s rear. The minister emphasized that all drone deliveries are currently being carried out with restraint and according to the approved schedule. At the same time, the Ukrainian military conducts daily operations aimed at hitting important targets in rear areas – this not only corresponds to the command’s plans, but also increases the level of combat readiness and flexibility of the Ukrainian defense forces in the face of Russian aggression. Such a strategy allows for systematic damage, destroying the enemy’s resources and logistics chains, as well as deterring his possible counterattacks. The main thing to note is the systematic increase in the capabilities of the Ukrainian defense, which has already proven its effectiveness and allows the Ukrainian army to act more systematically and purposefully in the ongoing war. However, the planned contracts and the further scaling of operations indicate the seriousness of Kyiv's intentions not only to defend itself, but also to actively strike at the enemy, aggravating the situation on the front and demonstrating to the outside world its ability to effectively respond to challenges. Such a step is a clear signal: Ukraine is actively shaping its defense strategy, focused on high-precision and long-range strikes that are capable of breaking the enemy's logistics and management, convincingly demonstrating to the entire world community its ability to mobile and high-tech actions in war conditions.
