This evening, a serious incident occurred in the central part of the city of Odesa, as a result of which a young man was injured. According to the press service of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Odessa region, at about 20:00, the sounds of shots were heard on the main street of the city, which caused panic among local residents and immediately attracted the attention of law enforcement officers. An investigative and operational group immediately arrived at the scene to clarify the details of the incident. According to preliminary data, the conflict between a local resident and unknown persons escalated into violence - during an argument, the attackers used a weapon, shooting at a 25-year-old man. The victim was urgently taken to the nearest hospital, where he was provided with medical assistance. According to law enforcement officers, the persons involved in the attack disappeared from the scene and are currently being sought. It is known that the young man was wounded in the head - this information is confirmed by both eyewitnesses and sources on social networks, which actively discussed the incident. After the conflict, the attackers quickly disappeared from the scene, leaving the medics and the police without a trace of their escape. This incident in the center of Odessa has provoked a wave of anxiety and concern among local residents, as it once again confirms the growing number of violence in popular and crowded areas of the city. The development of events in this area of the city is reminiscent of the tragic incident in Zhytomyr last week, where there was a loud shooting. Then, according to police, an unknown person shot a woman sitting in a Peugeot car several times, and then committed suicide. In general, this tragic story took the lives of two people and became one of the most terrible situations in recent months. The perpetrator in Zhytomyr was identified as a former soldier of the Aidar battalion, Oleksandr Fedosyuk, known by the call sign “Bekh,” who was a lawyer by profession. Law enforcement officers previously found out that he shot a woman and then committed suicide, which further emphasizes the seriousness and resonance of this tragic event. These incidents once again emphasize the need to strengthen security in cities and the importance of round-the-clock control over public order. Local authorities and police have already promised to take all necessary measures to find and detain the perpetrators, as well as to prevent similar tragedies in the future.
