Missile strike on Dnipro on June 24 kills 20

As a result of the Russian attack on the city of Dnipro on June 24, the number of victims has increased to 20 people, with two more deaths recorded in the nearby city of Samar. This was reported by the head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, Serhiy Lysak, on his official Telegram channel. According to him, the number of deaths from the missile attack is constantly growing, and now it is 20, and together with the two deaths in Samara, there are already 22. The head of the region spoke in detail about the course of events and the consequences of the missile strike: “Unfortunately, the number of victims of missile attacks on the Dnipro continues to grow. As of now, there are already 20 deaths in the city. Together with the two deaths in Samara, this is 22 human lives destroyed by Russian missiles.” He also noted that since the evening of June 25, the Russian occupiers have not stopped shelling the Nikopol district. They used heavy artillery, strike drones (FPV drones) and dropped ammunition from UAVs. Several settlements were under fire – Pokrovska, Myrivska, Marhanetska communities, and they suffered significant destruction. In particular, in the district center, the strikes damaged several infrastructure facilities: a cafe, an enterprise, private residential buildings, outbuildings, and vehicles. According to Lysak, three private houses, two outbuildings, and a car were damaged, as well as infrastructure destroyed. The shelling also affected the Dniprovsky district of the city. There was damage to the territory of one of the recreation areas, but there were no casualties in this area, which was shelled several times. At the same time, at night, the defenders of the sky shot down two enemy unmanned systems that were trying to penetrate the region, Serhiy Lysak reported. Background: On June 24, the Russian occupiers launched a massive strike on the territory of the Dnipro and the region. Initially, 17 people were killed and 279 injured in the city of Dnipro, as well as two people killed and 14 injured in the city of Samar. Subsequently, the number of victims in the Dnipro increased, and the total number of people killed in this missile attack is already 20 people. This is confirmed by data from local authorities and rescue services, which work in conditions of constant shelling and destruction. The tragedy once again emphasizes the inextricable and immediate danger that the Russian aggressors pose to the civilian population in southern Ukraine.
