The "Ghost" Special Unit of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine carried out a long-awaited and strategically important operation in the temporarily occupied Crimea, aimed at weakening Russian air defense. According to sources in the department, Ukrainian intelligence officers successfully destroyed several key elements of the air defense system, including radar stations and even a launcher for the S-400 "Triumph" anti-aircraft system. This was done in order to limit the enemy's ability to control the sky over the peninsula and gain a strategic advantage in potential combat operations. During the operation, two multifunctional 92N2E control radar stations and two more 91N6E detection ones were purposefully destroyed. In addition, the enemy lost one of the launchers of the S-400 system. Radars, known as the "eyes" of the anti-aircraft system, play a key role in detecting and tracking targets in the air - without them, modern anti-aircraft systems turn into almost combat-capable mechanisms. That is why the destruction of these components has a serious impact on the overall combat capability of Russian forces in the region. The released footage shows how Ukrainian reconnaissance aircraft successfully use their drones to destroy strategically important air defense elements. Photos and video materials demonstrate strikes on expensive and extremely important enemy systems for defense - by destroying the very "eye" of Russian air defense, Ukrainian special forces are actually fighting for control of the airspace of Crimea. The armed conflict and the indisputable role of Ukrainian intelligence in reducing the enemy's ability to conduct effective defense against air and missile strikes. Operation GUR was another vivid confirmation of the high level of training of Ukrainian forces and their ability to deliver high-precision strikes at key points, undermining the logistics and combat capabilities of the Russian occupation forces. Such actions are likely to have long-term consequences for the stability and security of the peninsula, as well as for the Ukrainian-Russian conflict as a whole.
