A surprise night attack by Russian drones shook Kharkiv again on the eve of June 25, causing a series of loud explosions that frightened residents and put local authorities on guard. According to the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleg Synegubov, as well as relevant sources in local media and public communities, the situation became especially tense during the period when the city was subjected to another aggression by the Russian Federation with the help of strike drones - "Shahid" drones. According to data released by the head of the region, a series of loud explosions were heard in parts of the night. The reason for this was the attacks by Russian drones that were purposefully trying to hit military or civilian objects in the city. Volunteers and local media emphasize that the number of strikes reached at least seven. The most critical damage was sustained by a civilian enterprise located in the Kyivskyi district of the city, where enemy drones hit, causing destruction and panic among residents. Local authorities are urging Kharkiv residents to stay in shelters, as the threat of new air attacks remains high. Mayor Igor Terekhov added that in order to minimize losses and respond to the emergency situation, the city is on heightened alert. According to him, the Russians are purposefully using drones to attack civilian infrastructure, trying to sow panic and weaken the fighting spirit of Kharkiv residents. The circumstances and scale of this night attack are still being clarified. According to preliminary data, the strike was carried out at a time when the city was, for the most part, in a state of alarm. Local experts and the military, together with law enforcement officers, are working to analyze the damage and find possible reasons that prompted Russia to regularly use such tactics. Overall, the situation in Kharkiv remains tense. Authorities have urged residents to continue to adhere to safety rules and not ignore alarm signals. At the same time, Ukrainian forces continue to fight occupation raids and strive to ensure the safety of citizens, but daily shelling and attacks demonstrate that the first peace rally in the region is still far away. This night attack once again reminded of the complexity and dangers that threaten Kharkiv and its residents in the context of Russian aggression.
