Russia used 71 drones to attack Ukraine: 6 of them reached the target, 52 were lost or destroyed

The evening of June 24 was marked by a large-scale attack by the Russian army on Ukrainian territory using unmanned aerial vehicles - a total of 71 drones were recorded, mainly of the Shahed type and imitators of other models. According to the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, at that time active air defense was carried out in response, as a result of which 52 enemy drones were neutralized, 32 of them - by fire or missile systems, another 20 - were lost or suppressed by electronic warfare. Despite this effective countermeasure, the goal was still achieved - direct hits were recorded in six locations in the Odessa, Sumy and Kharkiv regions. The source reports that the attack was made possible by launching drones from various directions — from the Russian cities of Bryansk, Millerovo, Kursk, as well as from Cape Chauda, which is in the temporarily occupied Crimea. The enemy used this tactic to cover the widest possible range of targets throughout Ukraine. At the same time, Ukrainian forces used all available means of counteraction — aviation, anti-aircraft missile systems, electronic warfare units, as well as mobile fire groups that try to destroy or intercept a dangerous target in the air before it reaches its goal. In general, the information indicates that the Russian defenders are resorting to new tactics to spread chaos, in particular through the use of simulators and multiple launches of drones, which complicates the task of the Ukrainian military to ensure security and repel attacks. Ukraine's operational units are responding quickly to threats, using all means of defense, but the situation remains tense, and the numerous shellings are another reminder of the long and intense war that Ukrainian defenders are currently waging in the fight for their independence and territorial integrity.
