French President Emmanuel Macron has strongly condemned Russia's latest large-scale attack on the Ukrainian city of Dnipro, which led to terrible consequences - the death of 17 civilians and the injury of almost three hundred. In his speech on the social network X, he emphasized that these actions are a gross violation of international law and must be condemned by the world. In a statement, Macron stressed: "I strongly condemn Russia's massive attack on the Dnipro and the subsequent attacks on other cities in Ukraine that have taken place in recent weeks." The French President drew attention to the fact that, although Kyiv has repeatedly declared its readiness for peace talks and more than three months ago accepted US President Donald Trump's proposal to declare a ceasefire, Russia ignores these calls and continues its aggression. "Russia bombs, kills and destroys, violating all norms of international law. It is not responsible for its actions and constantly ignores the international community, which cannot continue,” Macron stressed. He noted that France, in partnership with international organizations and countries around the world, will not stop putting pressure on the Kremlin to achieve an end to the war and the establishment of a just and lasting peace in Ukraine. The latest blow was preceded by a series of explosions in the Dnipro River, which caused extensive destruction and tragedy. Russian troops struck the city, which became another vivid confirmation of the Kremlin’s continued aggression. As a result, about 279 residents of Dnipro were injured to varying degrees, and the death toll rose to 17 people. Residents and city authorities are still in a state of shock, but at the same time they are calling on the world to take active action to stop this war and punish the perpetrators. It is noted that the Ukrainian authorities and military are putting up incredible resistance and call on their partners to continue to support them in the fight for the freedom and integrity of the country. Using all possible diplomatic and military means, Ukraine seeks to defend its independence and protect its citizens, even despite the growing scale of destruction and human losses. The international community continues to call for an immediate ceasefire, the withdrawal of Russian troops and an end to the aggression, which has been going on for more than a year. While France and its leader Macron are calling for peace, international diplomatic efforts must be intertwined with a tougher stance against violators of the world order. However, the future of Ukraine and its people remains in great question, as the war gains momentum and poses new challenges for the entire world community.
