In the case of the attack on a soldier of the Azov regiment in Ivano-Frankivsk, which occurred on June 13, law enforcement officers reported suspicion to two servicemen. The question arises about the possible involvement of other persons in this case and the motivation for the crime. According to information released by the Special Prosecutor's Office of the Western Region, the investigation is actively working to unravel all the circumstances of the alleged incident and is making progress in identifying the perpetrators. According to the official version of the investigation, on the specified date, two suspects were in the courtyard of a residential building in the central district of the city. It was there that they, armed with objects resembling telescopic batons and tear gas canisters, attacked a local resident - a soldier from the Azov battalion. In more detail, according to the investigation, the attackers used force - they beat the man and sprayed a substance similar to tear gas in his face. As a result of this attack, the victim received a chemical burn of the eyes and numerous injuries, including bruises of varying severity. After the attack, the criminals fled the scene, but investigators quickly found out their whereabouts and detained them. It was established that the suspects are servicemen of one of the military units, who are currently under investigation. They received an official notification of suspicion under the article on hooliganism, and the prosecutor's office has already filed a petition with the court to impose preventive measures on them, including arrest or house arrest. The investigation is also establishing a possible connection between the detainees and other persons involved in the crime and the goal they pursued when committing the attack. Local law enforcement agencies emphasize that they are making every effort to uncover all the circumstances that led to this provocation. The unfolding of events with the attacks has its own previous history, connected with the military environment. In particular, the military man of "Azov" Andriy Korynevych recently stated that on June 13 he was attacked by two soldiers of the Third Separate Assault Brigade. According to him, the incident was involved in a confrontation and conflict with a unit closely associated with the commander of the so-called 3rd Army Corps, the well-known military leader Andriy Biletsky. According to his statements, the attackers were Semen Klok and Vasyl Bondarenko - experienced military men who had previously been involved in criminal cases. In addition to them, Korynevych mentioned another participant in the conflict - Maksym Bilogub, as well as another of his comrades, Serhiy Tsyganchuk, who, according to him, were involved in the attack. He believes that the command of the 3rd separate assault brigade, in particular commander Biletsky, acted to conceal this criminal activity, which further complicates the situation. Taken together, these events fit into a broader picture of disturbing conflicts within military formations, which creates additional risks to security and order. Active investigative measures are underway, evidence and testimony have been collected to establish the full scale and circle of those responsible for this case. No official comments have been provided by the military structures at this time, but it is obvious that the investigation will not stop working until all circumstances are fully clarified and the perpetrators are brought to justice, because justice and protection of the rights of citizens and servicemen come first.
