In a flurry of political maneuvering and tense diplomatic waves, Donald Trump, the former US president, recently called on Israel to refrain from any air operations against Iran and called for the return of its military pilots. This comes amid reports of exchanges of blows between Tehran and Jerusalem, but it was Trump who called for restraint and peaceful solutions. Sources on the social network Truth Social and news agencies, including Reuters and European Truth, report that within hours of the American leader’s announcement of a “complete and total” ceasefire between Israel and Iran, reports of shelling and mutual aggression between the two countries appeared around the world. Meanwhile, Trump issued a sharp appeal to the Israeli side: “If you drop bombs, it will be a gross violation of the agreements. Bring your pilots home immediately!” In his posts on the platform, he emphasized that "Israel is not attacking Iran" and assured the world community that "all planes will turn around and return home, giving a friendly 'wing' to the Iranian side." "No one will be hurt, the ceasefire is maintained! Thank you for your attention to this matter," Trump concluded. According to Reuters, after he left the presidency and went to the NATO summit, he did not hide his dissatisfaction with the situation, in particular, with the fact that both sides - both Israel and Iran - are violating the ceasefire agreements. "I need Israel to calm down a little. As soon as we made a deal, they immediately started raining bombs. These were the biggest ground strikes I have ever seen. Iran and Israel have been fighting for so long and so fiercely that it seems they don't even understand what they are doing," the former president said. Recall that earlier on June 24, Trump announced an agreement between Israel and Iran on a 12-hour ceasefire, after which the war was supposed to end for good. Israel, in turn, confirmed that it supports the American initiative for a bilateral suspension of hostilities, but stated its readiness to respond with force in case of violation of the agreement. This caused even greater tension in the region, emphasizing the uncertainty and complexity of the current conflict. Foretelling more turbulence, experts and analysts warn that the situation will remain tense until a settlement and the search for long-term diplomatic solutions.
