Three potential deputies of Prosecutor General Ruslan Kravchenko received support from the Prosecutors’ Council
According to information obtained from law enforcement sources, three candidates for the position of deputies of Prosecutor General Ruslan Kravchenko successfully passed the interview with the Prosecutors' Council. The respective candidates are Maksym Krym, Andriy Leshchenko and Maria Vdovichenko, each of whom received approval at this important stage of the interviews. It should be noted that this news occurred against the background of large-scale personnel changes in the prosecutor's office system after President Volodymyr Zelensky officially appointed Ruslan Kravchenko to the position of Prosecutor General of Ukraine on June 21. Back in late June, the decree of the head of state caused widespread discussion in law enforcement circles, as it marked the beginning of a new stage of reform in the prosecutor's office, aimed at increasing its independence and accountability to Ukrainian society. In response, the Prosecutor General's Office has begun active personnel reshuffles — the team is changing, new units are being formed, focused on fighting corruption and ensuring the rule of law. The process of selecting candidates for deputy positions is a key stage in reforming the prosecutor's office, and the approval of three candidates by the Prosecutors' Council indicates their compliance with strict criteria of transparency and professionalism. Official sources report that these candidates are currently being considered by the leadership, and their appointment is expected in the near future. After Kravchenko was appointed Prosecutor General, a new stage of restructuring the system began, which involves strengthening the work of anti-corruption structures, increasing public trust in the prosecutor's office, and more effective investigation of high-profile cases. Ruslan Kravchenko himself has already announced his intention to diversify approaches to work and involve highly professional specialists in teamwork, including at the deputy level. As for the candidates, Maksym Krym, Andriy Leshchenko, and Maria Vdovichenko are called potential new faces in the prosecutorial vertical, who are able to bring a fresh perspective and change old approaches. However, official final decisions on their appointments have not yet been made public, but many experts believe that, given the support of the Prosecutors' Council, these candidates have a high chance of occupying important positions in the structure of the country's main prosecutor's office. The process of personnel perturbations in the prosecutor's office system will undoubtedly strengthen its institutional capacity and increase the level of trust from Ukrainian society, because the success of the reform and the fight against crime depends on the work of leaders at all levels. It is expected that in the near future the new deputies will be officially appointed, and Ruslan Kravchenko's team will be able to begin implementing ambitious plans to improve the work of the prosecutor's office.
