There is a tendency for the activity of Russian occupiers to decrease in Sumy region
The State Border Service of Ukraine has recorded a significant decrease in the level of enemy activity in the Sumy region, except for certain areas within the Yunakivska and Khotynska communities. This was reported by the spokesman for the State Border Service of Ukraine, Colonel Andriy Demchenko, noting that the situation is gradually stabilizing thanks to the efforts of the Ukrainian military and border guards, who are actively countering the enemy. According to the officer, the Russian occupiers are still trying to conduct combat operations in small areas, in particular in the areas of the Yunakivska and Khotynska communities, using the tactics of small assault groups in order to break through our positions. However, as Demchenko noted, recently these troubles have significantly decreased, which is the result of the effective actions of the Ukrainian defense units, which do not leave the enemy any chance in this area. “Only in some areas the enemy does not stop trying to land and operate in small assault groups, but the enemy’s activity has decreased several times. This is clearly visible on our front: our defenders in this zone are closing all the breakthroughs, while suffering dozens of losses among the occupiers – both killed and wounded. Previously, when the enemy used this tactic, he demonstrated a ruthless attitude towards his losses and did not give up in his desire to penetrate our territory. Currently, the number of such episodes is decreasing, and the enemy is increasingly abandoning attempts to advance,” Demchenko explained. As for the use of equipment, the officer emphasized that the enemy still does not use armored vehicles in this zone. Instead, they are actively using ATVs and motorcycles, trying to quickly break through our defense lines and move deeper into Ukrainian territory, but Ukrainian defenders are effectively blocking such attempts. “In recent days, the enemy has not used armored vehicles in this operational zone, which indicates its weak ability to carry out large-scale offensive actions. Our units are standing their ground and making it as difficult as possible for the enemy to advance forward. This is the result of the coordinated work of all components of the Ukrainian defense forces, in particular the Defense Forces and the Armed Forces of Ukraine. They are not only holding their positions, but also destroying the enemy, doing everything possible to ensure that his plans fail,” the officer added. In general, the situation in the northeast of the country remains under control, and Ukrainian defenders continue to destroy the enemy’s plans to advance deep into Ukraine, maintaining peace and security in the region. This once again proves that thanks to the competent actions of our defense forces and border guards, the enemy will lose his advantage and the risk of new breakthroughs will be significantly reduced.
