On June 24, Russian forces carried out another strike on the city of Kupyansk, in Kharkiv region, injuring a 76-year-old man. According to the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor's Office, at around 4:10 p.m., the occupiers used an FPV suicide drone to attack a residential area of the city. The source reports that the dropped munition hit a private estate, causing significant damage to the home and injuring a resident. According to the investigation, the targeted strike was carried out using an unmanned aerial vehicle that was purposefully directed at private territory, likely with the aim of causing material damage or intimidating local residents. An explosive device dropped from a flying drone destroyed a private house, where a 76-year-old man was staying. He was injured in the explosion, which required immediate hospitalization. The victim was immediately taken to a medical facility, where he is receiving the necessary medical care. According to doctors, the man’s condition is stable, but he remains under the supervision of specialists. The explosive device caused not only material damage - destroyed housing, but also threatens the lives and health of local residents, which significantly complicates life in the region. This is another example of the destructive tactics of the Russian military in Ukraine, which brings death and destruction among the civilian population. Investigative bodies have opened criminal proceedings under the article on committing aggressive actions against civilian objects. Local authorities call on residents to carefully observe safety rules and be especially careful in connection with possible new attacks. The movements of the Ukrainian defense forces and local authorities are making every effort to prevent such incidents and defend the security of the region. However, the situation remains tense, and each new shelling once again emphasizes the need to strengthen Ukraine's defense system and international support in confronting Russian aggression.
