On the morning of June 24, the Russian occupiers opened fire on Kherson again, striking one of the city’s districts with artillery. The consequences of the shelling were horrific for local residents — four of them received injuries of varying severity, including shrapnel wounds, contusions, and explosive injuries. The Kherson Regional Military Administration confirmed the information on its official Telegram channel. According to authorities, the attack occurred at around 07:20 in the morning. At that time, the Russian military launched an artillery attack on the Korabelny district of the city, which resulted in the injury of several residents. Among the injured were a 52-year-old woman and a 61-year-old man, who received various injuries, including shrapnel wounds and contusions. Both were immediately taken to a local hospital for necessary assistance. The condition of both patients is assessed as moderate, so doctors are making every effort to stabilize their health. Later, in the course of additional information from the OVA, it became known that two more residents were injured as a result of this brutal shelling. These are a 66-year-old woman and an 83-year-old man, who were at home at the time of the attack. An official representative of the authorities reported that they had explosive injuries, contusions and shrapnel wounds. Doctors also assessed their condition as moderate and the victims are currently receiving the necessary assistance in a medical facility. In general, the situation in Kherson with the morning shelling once again demonstrates anxiety and danger for peaceful residents of the region. The authorities call on locals not to disregard safety instructions, and the international community calls for increased sanctions and support for Ukraine in confronting the aggressor. The enemy continues to purposefully destroy cities and leave people in fear and uncertainty, but Ukrainians do not give up and hope for a quick return of peace and security to their homes.
