Israel confirms agreement on US-brokered ceasefire with Iran
Israel has officially announced its agreement to a bilateral ceasefire with Iran proposed by the United States, but at the same time warned of a tough response to any violations of the regime. The information was released by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's office, referring to a statement made on Tuesday. According to the official statement, the country's top cabinet, including the prime minister, defense minister, chief of staff of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) and head of Mossad, met to discuss the results achieved in the large-scale Operation Eastern Lion. During the meeting, it was confirmed that Israeli forces had successfully fulfilled all their goals and even exceeded expectations. According to Israeli officials, the operation allowed "to eliminate two immediate and serious threats to the country's existence - both in the nuclear sphere and in the sphere of ballistic missiles." In particular, according to the data, the Israeli armed forces gained full control over the airspace over Tehran, which significantly complicated the Iranian military leadership. It is also reported that dozens of strategic targets were destroyed during the operation, including Iranian military infrastructure facilities. Interestingly, for the first time, the death of a high-ranking Iranian nuclear scientist was officially confirmed, which emphasizes the seriousness of the strikes inflicted by the Israeli army. In addition, the statement emphasizes gratitude to Trump and the US administration for their support in the fight against the Iranian nuclear program and for their assistance in eliminating the nuclear threat to the region. According to the Israeli leadership, the achieved goals of Operation Eastern Lion allowed the country to agree with Washington on a bilateral ceasefire with Iran within the framework of a new diplomatic agreement. The step taken is the result of close coordination with the US administration, in particular with President Donald Trump, and takes into account the efforts of both sides to stabilize the situation around the Iranian nuclear program. At the same time, the Prime Minister's Office emphasizes that Israel will remain on alert and "respond harshly" to any attempts to violate the ceasefire. The statement emphasizes that the country's security is a priority and any provocations will be harshly suppressed. These actions are an important stage in the regional situation, because so far there is no question of a final resolution of the conflict with Iran, but Israel's position currently remains linked to the idea of deterrence and strengthening defense capabilities. It is too early to talk about a possible further escalation or new escalation, but all parties are on alert and analyzing the situation against the background of key international diplomatic steps and recent military actions.
