According to the American television channel CNN, Iranian officials have not yet received any proposals or official initiatives aimed at stopping hostilities or establishing a truce. At the same time, Tehran sees no reason to negotiate in this direction and assures that its military campaign continues until a lasting peace is achieved at the regional level. Sources from Iran assured that all statements from Israel and the United States should be considered as unscrupulous disinformation aimed at justifying further attacks on Iranian interests. It is noted that the CNN publication appeared almost simultaneously with the reports of US President Donald Trump about a ceasefire between Israel and Iran. However, Iranian officials have made it clear that Tehran has no plans to enter into peace agreements as long as the aggressors — the United States and Israel — continue to provoke conflicts and carry out offensive actions against Iranian interests in the region. Responding to journalists’ inquiries, a senior Iranian official said that the country intends to continue the struggle and military actions until an independent and stable peace is fully achieved. “We view the statements of our enemies — the United States and Israel — as deception and provocation aimed solely at justified offensive actions against our country. We will not succumb to their false half-measures, and our decision is to act in accordance with the situation and defend our interests,” he said. What preceded this conflict? On June 23, Iran launched a missile strike on several American military bases in the surveillance country — in the Persian Gulf and at several locations in Qatar. According to the air defense system, the system intercepted at least 10 missiles launched at strategic targets. The US military confirmed the attack and noted that this act of aggression was caused, in their words, by the “excessive weakness” of Tehran’s response to earlier strikes on Iranian nuclear facilities. US President Trump commented on this situation, stating that Iran’s response was weak and insufficient to complicate American actions in the region. According to him, Iran is acting under the influence of political and military provocations, and the US remains capable and ready to prevent any potential escalation scenarios. At the same time, the threats of Iranian forces remain open - their military activity indicates their intention to continue the fight for their interests, despite pressure and sanctions from the West.
