Dnipro declares day of mourning in memory of victims of Russian missile attack
On June 25, the city of Dnipro declared a day of mourning in memory of those killed in the man-made tragedy that occurred the day before. This decision was made by the city's mayor, Boris Filatov, who signed a corresponding decree, calling on residents and authorities to express condolences and honor the memory of those killed on this tragic date. The reason for this step was a deliberate missile attack that took place on June 24 and caused widespread destruction and human losses. According to official data, the enemy's invisible weapons destroyed the peaceful life of the city, destroyed numerous residential buildings and infrastructure. As a result of this terrorist attack, 16 people died, more than 170 were injured of varying severity, which puts this event among the most terrible in the modern history of missile attacks on the Dnipro. In support of this tragic news, the mayor of the city, Borys Filatov, published his comments and calls on the population to show solidarity and support for each other during this difficult time. He emphasized the need to honor the memory of the victims and maintain unity in the fight against the aggressor, who does not stop his attacks, but must follow the path of humanity and support for the victims. Taking into account the events, the city authorities also focused on the need to strengthen security and scenarios for providing assistance to the victims and their families. The announcement of a day of mourning became a symbolic gesture of the community's solidarity and its relentless struggle for peace and stability in the region. The circumstances of this tragedy once again confirm that the war continues to bring suffering and destruction, and each new day poses new challenges for Ukraine and the need for unity of the people. Therefore, the announcement of a day of mourning is not only a tribute to the memory of the dead, but also a reminder of the value of peace and the lives it holds in its hands.
