Chas Pravdy - 23 June 2025 08:11

He stated that a tragedy occurred late in the evening of June 22nd in the vicinity of a village within the Snovsk territorial community, when the enemy used a Lancet-type unmanned aerial vehicle. As a result of the attack, a severe blow was dealt to the area, causing human losses and injuries among residents. According to official information, two civilians were killed at the scene of the rocket-drone strike. Additionally, ten more people were wounded to varying degrees, including three children. All those affected were promptly taken to medical facilities. Two of the seriously injured were hospitalized in the regional hospital, where they are receiving necessary medical assistance. The others, with moderate injuries, are under round-the-clock medical supervision, Vyachyslav Chaus reported. The regional head emphasized that the situation in the region remains tense, and the consequences of this new attack once again demonstrate the increasing aggression of Russian occupiers and their deliberate strategy of destruction and intimidation of peaceful residents. Many residential buildings have been destroyed, and infrastructure damaged in Chernihiv region. The local authorities and rescue services are working cohesively to assist those affected and to stabilize the situation in the region. The regional leader called on residents to exercise caution and stay informed through official sources, as the overall situation remains tense and could escalate further. Currently, authorities are strengthening security measures, and services are being reminded of the need to respond quickly to new attacks and continue to bolster population defense. Russian occupiers continue their cynical targeting of civilian residences, violating all norms of humanitarian law and international conventions. The Chernihiv government calls for unity and mutual support during this difficult time, emphasizing that each of us must do everything possible to protect ourselves and our loved ones, as well as to strengthen the country's defense capability. We can only hope for a swift end to the aggression and the return of peace to Ukrainian lands. We await further official updates and urge everyone to remain vigilant and cautious during these challenging times.
