Chas Pravdy - 23 June 2025 21:10

As a result of the relentless Russian shelling of Donetsk region on June 23, at least four civilians were killed and three more were injured. This indicates a growing humanitarian crisis and emphasizes the constant danger for the civilian population of the region, which remained under heavy fire from Russian troops. According to Vadym Filashkin, head of the Donetsk regional military administration, the tragedy occurred in different settlements. The occupiers struck the Pokrovska community, targeting the private sector, which led to tragic consequences. In particular, a civilian car was damaged in this area as a result of an FPV drone strike. The incident left a couple - a 55-year-old man and woman - dead. In addition to them, another man was injured and hospitalized. Another tragic incident occurred in Kostyantynivka, where the occupiers killed two men aged 25 and 65. In addition to the dead, two more were injured as a result of the attacks. At least eight residential buildings were damaged and a bus was destroyed as a result of the shelling, which indicates the scale of the destruction in the region and the destructive nature of the enemy’s actions. Local authorities express deep concern over the daily news of the deaths and injuries of civilians in the Donetsk region. They emphasize that staying in the region directly means becoming a target for shelling and being exposed to mortal danger. The residents of the region have been placed in a zone of constant risk, and the situation remains complex and uncertain due to active hostilities and targeted attacks by the occupiers on peaceful communities.
