Donald Trump has once again taken to the public stage with a sharp accusation against Dmitry Medvedev, former Russian President and Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation
The American leader expressed his indignation over his words regarding Iran’s alleged nuclear program, hinting at an irresponsible and careless attitude to delicate issues of international security. In his post on the Truth Social platform, Trump rhetorically asks how reliable the words of the former Russian official should be. He first emphasizes that Medvedev “carelessly used the word” — in particular, “nuclear” — and made a statement that Russia and other countries would allegedly supply Iran with nuclear warheads. The former American president questions the veracity of these words, asking the question: “Did Medvedev really say that, or is it just my imagination? If so, please let me know immediately.” At the same time, Trump stressed that such words are unacceptable and deserve a strict look, because "such words cannot be thrown around carelessly." He also added that, perhaps, this is why Volodin Putin called Medvedev "BOK" - that is, "The Boss", hinting at his potentially chaotic or irresponsible character. In addition, the former president praised the US Department of Defense and the military for conducting a recent operation in Iran, during which strikes were carried out on key nuclear facilities of the regime. Trump thanked the "wonderful fighter pilots", the captain and crew of the nuclear submarine from which the missiles were launched. They were the ones who distinguished themselves, according to the American leader, in that the strike significantly weakened Iranian nuclear intentions. Meanwhile, it is worth recalling that the day before, Medvedev published a sharp criticism of the American air strikes on Iran in his Telegram channel. According to the Russian politician, Washington's operations not only did not achieve their goal, but rather had the opposite effect - Iran will emerge from this situation even stronger. He also emphasized that "a number of countries are already ready to directly send their nuclear weapons to Iran," hinting at growing tension and a potential new outbreak of conflict in the region. It should be noted that the day before, on June 22, the United States carried out a large-scale operation against the Iranian nuclear program, known under the code name "Midnight Hammer". More than 125 military aircraft were involved in this operation, including seven modern B-2 stealth bombers. According to US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, this pinpoint attack actually destroyed Iran's nuclear ambitions, making them irreparable. Against the background of such events, Trump's words at the same time begin to gain additional context: is there really such a level of irresponsibility regarding nuclear technologies at the top of the aggressor country, or is this the result of political games in the world, which is rapidly gaining momentum in the field of security and military conflicts. In general, there are heated discussions around such statements and events, because the issue of nuclear weapons and their potential proliferation remains one of the main threats to the modern world. And in a situation where the leaders of world powers allow themselves such undisguised reproaches and public mutual criticism, it can be assumed that global political tension is only growing, and new crisis scenarios are already looming on the horizon.
