The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, made a high-profile statement regarding inspections at the Territorial Recruitment and Social Support Centers (TRSK), outlining ambitious plans for their reorganization and increased efficiency

According to sources, during a recent meeting with journalists — however, without the presence of "Ukrainska Pravda" representatives — Syrskyi emphasized that currently, inspection teams are examining structures and assessing the situation to eliminate shortcomings and improve operational performance. In his public speech, he stressed: "Mobilization should not be a shock for people." He noted that it is important to change approaches and increase transparency and accountability in the recruitment process, as these factors directly influence the combat readiness of the Ukrainian army. Syrskyi highlighted that one of the main tasks is to send to the front those who have not yet fought — and instead, mobilize soldiers with injuries who are currently undergoing rehabilitation or treatment. According to the Commander-in-Chief, thorough inspections and audits of specific structures are underway to ensure that TRSK are properly fulfilling their functions and that "embarrassing incidents," which have occasionally occurred in the past, are not repeated. He emphasized: "The tasks have already been defined by the President of Ukraine — the Supreme Commander-in-Chief — and all our actions must be aimed at strengthening our country’s defense capabilities." Regarding the threat of corruption and abuses in the mobilization process, Syrskyi stated that active measures are being taken to identify and hold accountable those who violate the law and engage in corrupt practices. He called on all structural units to be as transparent and honest as possible to eradicate negative phenomena during this crucial and vulnerable period for Ukraine. Overall, Syrskyi’s statements demonstrate the authorities’ commitment to radical reforms in the mobilization system and to increasing its transparency, as well as ensuring the most efficient operation of TRSK, which is critically important amid ongoing war conditions. It is expected that new inspections and internal audits will help address existing problems and guarantee that mobilization and the fulfillment of duties to Ukraine are conducted honestly and effectively.
