This attack was not the first in recent times; it serves as another painful reminder of the ongoing risks and dangers faced by the Ukrainian army in its fight against Russian aggression. According to the head of state, he awaits a complete and objective report that will thoroughly outline the circumstances of the attack and its consequences, so that in the near future, appropriate conclusions can be drawn and all issues clarified. In his address, Zelenskyy emphasized that this missile strike is not the first in the history of the war with Russia and directly targeted Ukrainian facilities. At the same time, he condemned this act of aggression and stressed the need to establish accountability. The president noted that the losses in this tragedy are not only the deaths of several servicemen, whom he called "victims of the war," but also injuries to many others. He underlined that the Ukrainian authorities continue to work diligently on improving defense systems and ensuring security. Zelenskyy also reported that he has already held several important consultations with security officials. Specifically, he discussed with Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko and the Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Oleksandr Syrskyi. The main focus was on the use of lethal unmanned aerial vehicles, including drones used by units of the National Guard of Ukraine, as well as the need to intensify efforts to destroy Russian reconnaissance drones that conduct aerial patrols and carry out shelling. The President emphasized that in the coming weeks, he plans a separate conversation with Ukraine’s partners to attract additional financial resources for the production of powerful electronic warfare drones. This is crucial for strengthening defense capabilities and preventing new attacks. According to Zelenskyy, partner countries have already expressed support in this direction. He stressed that work on improving the security system is systematic and comprehensive: not only interceptors but also drones used for frontline operations to block Russian missile and drone attacks must be financed. This includes drones on fiber-optic networks and all types of devices necessary for effective military response. Zelenskyy is confident that such steps inspire hope for strengthening Ukrainian defense. They have already been initiated, and the initial agreements with European partners demonstrate a unified and targeted strategy to ensure Ukraine’s security. Simultaneously, the president emphasized that responsibility for every manifestation of Russian aggression lies with everyone involved in this war, and that Ukraine will do everything possible to restore order, protect its citizens, and achieve justice both within the country and on the international stage. Let us recall that the day before, Russian forces cynically used missile weapons on the training ground of one of the Ukrainian armored brigades. At least three servicemen were killed, and more than 14 injured in the attack. This tragedy highlights the high level of threats Ukraine faces in its fight for independence and territorial integrity. Analysis shows that Russia is systematically increasing military activity in the region, aiming to demonstrate strength and present Ukrainian defenses with new challenges. Overall, given the current situation, it is crucial that all responsible institutions, Ukrainian authorities, and international partners work together cohesively. The goal is to ensure the country’s security, strengthen its defense potential, and prevent further losses and casualties. At the same time, the path to stability and peace relies on a consistent and systematic approach to strengthening defense, which is demanded not only by the official position but also by the entire Ukrainian people, who continue to fight for their freedom and territorial integrity.
