During the night of June 21 to June 22, Ukrainian forces once again engaged in combat amid large-scale enemy aggression that affected several regions of the country

According to recent reports, occupying troops launched a powerful missile and drone attack aimed at destroying Ukrainian infrastructure and defensive objects. Defense authorities have reported that the enemy used at least two Iskander-M and KN-23 ballistic missiles, as well as an S-300 anti-aircraft guided missile. In addition, the enemy dispatched nearly 50 drones of various types—47 enemy drones were detected in the air over the country, while 3 drones were recovered and destroyed. According to Ukrainian military sources, during the night attack, out of about fifty targets launched into the airspace, Ukrainian defenders successfully shot down 18 drones, while 10 were lost due to localization difficulties, meaning their positions are considered lost or uncertain. This indicates a high level of resistance from the Armed Forces, which actively intercept enemy drones and missiles in the air. Rescue services recorded multiple hits on objects within Ukraine. Preliminary data suggest that the targeted attack affected seven locations, with the most challenging situation observed in the Chernihiv, Sumy, and Odesa regions. The greatest strike intensity occurred in Chernihiv region, where enemy troops are attempting to strengthen their positions along the northern borders. Analysts note that the nighttime shelling is another sign of increased enemy efforts to destroy Ukrainian critical infrastructure and territorial integrity. This is a further episode in a large-scale, systematic campaign ongoing for several months. Ukrainian military personnel and security experts emphasize that maintaining high combat readiness and the ability to effectively counter missile and drone attacks are crucial for the country's defense capability. Meanwhile, Kyiv and other regions remain on high alert, as the enemy continues to demonstrate the ability to carry out new large-scale attacks. Overall, the nighttime strike confirmed that Ukrainian defenses are at the forefront of the fight, and each successful countermeasure against the enemy inspires Ukrainians and strengthens their belief in victory. Authorities and defense officials urge citizens to stay safe and follow recommendations for safe behavior during air threat alerts.
