According to the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center, the weather at the beginning of the week will again become unpredictable and unstable, potentially causing a range of inconveniences for the population and the economy. According to meteorologists, during the night of June 23, a brief rain accompanied by thunderstorms is expected across Ukraine, except for the western regions and most northern oblasts, which could potentially cover a significant part of the country within 24 hours. During the day, clear or rainless weather will predominantly characterize the central, southern, and western regions. In the east and south, forecasters predict short-term rains and thunderstorms, which will significantly complicate normal routines and travel. Wind during this period will mainly be from the northwest, with speeds ranging from 7 to 12 meters per second. In some regions, especially in the central and southern areas, gusts of wind up to 15-20 m/s are possible, increasing the risk of minor emergencies. Regarding temperature, nights will be cool: minimum temperatures will fluctuate between 9-14°C, and in southern regions up to 17°C. Daytime temperatures are forecasted to range from 19 to 24°C, and in the west and south of the country, it may rise to 23-28°C, creating favorable conditions for outdoor activities. Special attention should be paid to Kyiv and Kyiv region, where short-term temperature drops are possible at night, particularly to 11-13°C, with daytime temperatures reaching 20-22°C. Overall, the weather in the capital will remain relatively stable, with a probability of brief rainfall and gusts of wind. The Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center also warns of the potential complications in the operation of essential infrastructure systems: energy networks, construction, utilities, and transportation. Due to severe thunderstorms and gusts of wind, there may be interruptions in electricity supply, traffic delays, and temporary restrictions for road services. Overall, the upcoming week in the country will be unstable and quite changeable in weather conditions. The leading role in this will be played by short-term showers and thunderstorms, which are not excluded across Ukraine, especially in the eastern and central regions. Citizens are advised to stay alert and prepared for possible disruptions, and to monitor weather forecasts and current safety recommendations.
