On the night of June 21, Kremenchuk, one of the largest cities in Poltava Region, was once again subjected to a massive attack by Russian forces, which used a combined tactic of strikes with various types of weapons. The danger was not only in the destruction and damaged infrastructure but also in the hazardous remnants of munitions discovered by local residents and law enforcement officials in the zones of destruction. According to the National Police of Ukraine, during a thorough inspection of the firing sites, law enforcement officers found several metal objects resembling toys or bullets. These are cluster munitions components from explosive weapons, posing a significant threat to the population, especially children. Officials stated that the discovered spheres have an approximate diameter of about 10 centimeters and are metal ball elements scattered across the area after the strike. Law enforcement agencies urge residents to be extremely careful and not to touch the found dangerous objects. This is especially critical because cluster munitions can re-ignite and cause tragic consequences. If discovered, it is essential to immediately contact the police or the State Emergency Service of Ukraine (SESU), so specialists can safely collect and neutralize the hazardous materials. Overall, the situation in Kremenchuk remains tense. Following the nighttime shelling, the city recorded debris falls and damages to construction sites and vehicles. Local residents continue to ask for compliance with safety recommendations to protect lives and property. We recall that this shelling is not the first recent incident. Russian forces once again employed a combined tactic of massive strikes on critical infrastructure and residential areas of Kremenchuk. Confirmed reports indicate that the strikes hit various objects, with shrapnel and fragments dispersing across different districts, leaving behind destruction and a dangerous number of debris. Local authorities and law enforcement are intensifying efforts to locate and evacuate possible victims and are calling on residents to remain calm and follow safety rules. They emphasize that the situation remains under control, but everyone must stay vigilant for their own safety. Overall, due to the escalation of the military situation in the region, it is repeatedly necessary to stress the importance of increasing caution in daily life and avoiding contact with any suspicious or discovered objects that may be remnants of recent shellings. Local services urge residents to immediately report any findings that may pose a danger so that specialists can quickly and safely neutralize and remove explosive objects. In wartime, safe living and the safety of our children remains the top priority.
