The worsening situation in Kharkiv region continues to raise concerns due to increased activity of Russian military forces. The latest tragic incident involved an enemy drone hitting the village of Stari Salti in the Chuhuiv district, leading to the death of a 60-year-old local resident. According to Oleksii Sinegubov, head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, this incident occurred on Saturday morning, and he emphasized that the situation remains challenging and the danger to the civilian population is increasing. According to the regional governor, the tragedy serves as a reminder of the importance of following safety rules during air raid alerts. "Today, as a result of a hit from an enemy drone in the village of Stari Salti in the Chuhuiv district, our compatriot lost his life. This is an irreparable loss for his family and the entire region. I urge all residents to remain vigilant, not to ignore alarm signals, as such events demonstrate how dangerous these attacks are," Sinegubov stated in his official message. Military forces and local authorities are focused on stabilizing the situation, while calling on citizens to adhere to safety regulations, avoid open areas during air raid alerts, and be as cautious as possible to prevent becoming victims of Russian attacks. In light of this tragedy, it is also reported that on the night of Saturday, June 21, Russian occupiers targeted other regions of Ukraine, including Poltava. Large-scale shelling was recorded in Kremenchuk and its outskirts, with reports of hits and falling debris in residential areas, further highlighting the tragic and dangerous situation facing the Ukrainian people. Local authorities and rescue services are working to recover from the consequences, but human casualties and destruction remain evident. Overall, the situation in the active combat zone remains tense and uncertain. Official authorities urge residents to stay alert, follow safety rules, and contact emergency services if needed. Analysts note that such attacks are further evidence of how tense the frontline remains and that every inhabitant of the region risk becoming an accidental victim of military actions. While Ukrainian defenders continue to fight on the front lines, the civilian population remains at risk from enemy aircraft and drones. Everyone is urged to stay conscious, be prepared for unforeseen situations, and support one another during this difficult time.
