According to the Odessa Regional Prosecutor’s Office, this attack resulted in the death of one person and injuries to 14 civilians, including three rescue workers, making this assault particularly tragic and unjustifiable. According to official data from the Prosecutor’s Office, the Russians used at least ten unmanned aerial vehicles. They targeted a range of objects—including civilian infrastructure and critical city facilities. As a result of the strike, residential buildings, outbuildings, educational institutions, shops, and private vehicles were damaged. The most destructive hit was the complete destruction of one apartment complex, while another multi-story building sustained serious damage. Details provided by the Prosecutor’s Office indicate that the Russians deliberately attacked places with concentrated human activity to sow even greater fear and destruction. Rescue services and law enforcement officials are currently working at the scene to assess the aftermath, locate the points of impact, and establish all circumstances and the extent of the damage. Photographic evidence from the scene shows the scale of destruction—many buildings severely damaged, with roofs and windows destroyed, vehicles damaged, and around structures impacted. It is worth noting that this is not the first attack on Odesa this year. The city has repeatedly been targeted by unmanned drones that Russia employs to terrorize and intimidate the civilian population. Previous reports indicated 13 injured individuals, including three rescue workers who were responding to the aftermath of morning fires and destruction. Overall, the night shelling occurred during another attempt by Russia to use drones for a massive strike on Ukrainian cities. According to representatives of Ukrzaliznytsia, part of the railway infrastructure at the Odesa station was damaged, complicating transportation operations and creating additional inconveniences for residents and visitors to the city. This attack once again highlights the tragic reality of the war and the need to strengthen defensive measures in the region. Local authorities and security services are already working on assessing the damage and enhancing air defense systems to prevent future attacks. Residents of Odesa continue to be in a state of alert and tension, awaiting government measures to ensure safety and stability in the region.
