According to the information released by the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleg Sinegubov, as well as the city mayor, Ihor Terekhov, the situation was tense and garnered considerable resonance in the city. Initial reports indicate that Russian forces targeted several residential districts of Kharkiv — in particular, the Kyiv and Shevchenkivskyi districts. Local authorities reported strikes that occurred in different parts of the city and caused fires at one of the attack sites in the Shevchenkivskyi district. The fire, which has been localized, resulted from damage sustained during the attack; currently, there is no information about possible casualties, or it is still being processed. Notably, hits near multi-storey residential buildings have been recorded, with these structures coming under attack. According to witnesses and local services, sounds of explosions and sirens could be heard in the city by evening, confirming the occurrence of an attack. Local authorities emphasize that the situation remains tense and urge residents to be cautious and follow safety protocols. Military experts and officials stress that these attacks aim to increase pressure on the Kharkiv region, which has long been under constant missile and bomb fire from Russia. The local administration and rescue services are working to assess the extent of the destruction and search for possible victims; however, the situation remains tense due to the potential for repeated strikes. This nighttime attack once again highlights the complexity of the military situation in the region and the need to strengthen air defenses. Kharkiv, as one of Ukraine’s largest and most active cities in the east of the country, continues to be under attack, endangering the lives and property of thousands of civilians. Local authorities and the military urge citizens to stay in their places, adhere to safety rules, and be especially cautious in case of repeated alarms and possible air raids.
