In Ukraine, a new leader has been appointed for the eponymous “Madjar Birds” brigade, which carries out important tasks within the Ukrainian Armed Forces and specializes in strike unmanned aerial systems

According to sources, Junior Lieutenant Andriy "Klima" Klymenko will take command of the 414th Separate Brigade — a military officer who has already established a reputation as an experienced and promising commander. Major General Andriy Klymenko, better known in military circles by the call sign "Klima," assumes a responsible role as the leader of a unit of strategic importance for the country's defense capability. His appointment marks a new phase in the development of the brigade, which, due to its specialization, engages in high-tech operations and conducts precise strikes against enemy targets using modern unmanned systems. It is worth noting that previously, the command of this combat unit was held by Robert "Madjar" Brovdi. He now serves as the Commander of the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ Unmanned Systems Forces, having replaced Vadym Sukharevskyi in this high position. Military experts highlight that Brovdi contributed significantly to the development and improvement of drone technologies within the Ukrainian armed forces, and his leadership greatly strengthened the country’s defense capabilities in this field. The leadership changes were also initiated by directives from the higher political leadership. On June 3, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky signed decrees modifying the command structure of several key military units. Specifically, new commanders were appointed for the UAV forces and the Air Assault Forces. In this role, Robert Brovdi replaces Vadym Sukharevskyi, thus establishing a new figure within the command system designed to deepen the fight against the aggressor using the latest unmanned technologies. Such personnel shifts indicate a strategic development and modernization of Ukrainian defense, with a focus on speed, technological equipment, and adaptability in responding to threats. The significance of these appointments is evident: in the context of Russia’s armed aggression, the Ukrainian army is strengthening its capabilities by engaging young, energetic, and highly qualified commanders capable of rapid responses to modern warfare scenarios. The new commander of the "Madjar Birds" brigade — Andriy Klymenko — inherits the inspiration and experience of his predecessor, with the task of continuing the development of unmanned systems strategies and elevating the combat performance of the unit to a higher level. As a result of these changes, military experts and analysts predict deeper integration of unmanned systems into tactical and strategic operations of the Ukrainian command, which will become a key factor in the struggle for the country’s sovereignty and security.
